Dextromethorphan 10 mg + CPM 2 mg + Phenylephrine 5 mg Syrup

Spncuf-DX(Dextromethorphan + CPM+ Phenylephrine Syrup) is a synergetic composition of Phenylephrine + Chlorpheniramine Maleate and Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide which relieves Cough, Nasal congestion, Common cold, and Allergy. It will not treat emphysema, asthma, or cough that is caused by smoking. 

Phenylephrine

Phenylephrine is a decongestant that narrows the small blood vessels, reduces the swelling in the blood vessels as well as tissues in the nose, and provides relief from congestion or stuffiness in the nose.

CPM

Here CPM stands for Chlorpheniramine Maleate which belongs to the class of antihistamines that relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, motion sickness, and sneezing. 

Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide

Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is a cough suppressant that provides relaxation from cough by working on lowering the activity of the cough center in the brain. 

Use of  Dextromethorphan + CPM+ Phenylephrine Syrup

• Take this cough syrup if your doctor prescribes it. Cold or cough syrups are used until your symptoms clear up.
• Always read the label of instructions that come with the medicine carefully and follow them 
• If not recommended by your doctor do not give it to the children
• To take the right quantity of syrup. Use a measurement cap or dosing syringe that comes with the medicine. Measure liquid medicine carefully. 
• Shake well before use and do not continue the medicine more than 7 days in a row. Consult with the doctor if you see no improvement.
• Maintain proper hygiene. before and after taking the medicine Always Wash the measurement cap, dropper, or whatever you use to measure the liquid before and after taking the medicine

Before taking Dextromethorphan + CPM+ Phenylephrine Syrup

Strictly advisable to consult your doctor before using dextromethorphan + CPM+ Phenylephrine Syrup if you have:

• Asthma or COPD, cough with mucus
• Blockage in the Digestive tract
• High blood pressure or, Heart disease
• Liver or kidney disease
• glaucoma
• enlarged prostate or urination problems
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding women

Do not use Dextromethorphan + CPM+ Phenylephrine Syrup if you have used a Monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MOA)  in the past 14 days. A treacherous drug interaction can emerge. Monoamine oxidase inhibitors include isocarboxazid, linezolid, phenelzine, rasagiline, selegiline, tranylcypromine, and others.

Common Side Effects of Dextromethorphan + CPM+ Phenylephrine Syrup

These are some common reactions that most people notice for a shorter period and do not require any medical attention if you are not a patient of any serious disease or not allergic to any of the drugs included.

• Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping)

Avoid while taking chlorpheniramine, dextromethorphan, and Phenylephrine.

• Consuming alcohol with this medicine can cause serious side effects.
• Avoid driving, working on height, or any other dangerous activity until you know the effect of this medicine. The consequences can be impaired.
• Do not take other cough or cold medicines containing similar ingredients without consulting the doctor.
• This medicine can decrease sweating, and you may be more prone to heat stroke. So make sure you do not get dehydrated or overheated in hot weather.
• chlorpheniramine, dextromethorphan, and phenylephrine syrup are used only when needed, you do not need to stick to a dosing schedule. 
• Skip the missed dose if it’s almost time for the next dose. Do not take two doses at the same time.
